Second LinkSCEEM thematic workshop on Climate Research October 2012

The LinkSCEEM-2 FP7 project is organising a 3-day workshop, during October 9-11, 2012 in Nicosia, Cyprus. The workshop is part of the LinkSCEEM-2 project training activities.

The meeting targets young researchers from the region and will address topics such as Introductory Atmospheric Chemistry, History of the Atmosphere, Troposphere, Stratosphere, all followed by demonstrations. Furthermore, lectures related to Aerosols and Chemistry Climate Modelling will be conducted. The majority of the lectures will be carried out by Prof. Jonathan Williams, adjunct professor of the Cyprus Institute in the Energy Environment and Water Research Centre.

General Workshop Details

The workshop will be held at the Cyprus Institute, Guy Ourisson Building.

Language:English (materials will be published in English)

Registration

There are 15 funded competitive fellowships (contributing to flights and accommodation costs) available to attend the workshop.

Fellowships will be awarded to suitable candidates who:

1. Are involved in Climate research projects or studies.
2. Identify how attending the workshop can help them in their future work.
