First Announcement
The workshop focuses on advanced technologies applied in Cultural Heritage preservation research, in particular digital data acquisition (laser scanning and image transformation), digital data visualization (3D models, cultural and natural heritage information, movie production), the use of open source software for processing and editing 3D meshes, and providing suitable infrastructure for cultural heritage community (repositories, services for knowledge management). Theoretical aspects will be complemented with field-work activities at archaeological sites in Alexandria.
Professionals from cultural heritage institutions (cultural foundations, museums), young researchers and students are invited to submit their application to attend the workshop. Limited number of funded slots are available (including registration fees + flight + accommodation), hence the organizing committee will prioritize regional students and young researchers in fields related to cultural heritage preservation.
