LinkSCEEM User Meeting Roadshow

The LinkSCEEM project will hold the LinkSCEEM HPC Roadshow 2015 in several locations in Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Jordan. 

Location and Dates

The user meetings will take place in the following locations and dates:

-  Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, on Tuesday 3rd of February 2015 (10:00 to 12:00 at the Department of Physics, 4th floor physics assembly room)

-  University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece on Thursday 5th of February 2015 (10:00 to 12:00 at the Central Library Auditorium)

- Jordan University, Amman, Jordan on  Monday 10th of February 2015

- Sinai University, Sinai, Egypt  on Wednesday 11th of February 2015 (Joint event between Helwan University and Sinai University)

-  University of Athens, Athens, Greece, on Tuesday 17th of February 2015 

- Alexandria University, Alexandia, Egypt on Tuesday 17th of February 2015 (Faculty of Science)

- The BA "Embassy of Knowledge", Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt on Wednesay 18th of February 2015

User Meeting Details

The user meeting will:
•    Provide a general introduction to LinkSCEEM and its resources.
•    Give an overview of available HPC systems and software available within LinkSCEEM.
•    Describe the training program of LinkSCEEM. 
•    Explain how people can access the HPC resources available through LinkSCEEM for the purpose of their scientific research projects.
•    The user meeting will also include a hands-on session where participants of the user meeting will be guided through the various steps which are required to access and submit jobs to a LinkSCEEM HPC resource. This will include compilation and submission of jobs – all of which will be accompanied with relevant hands-on practical examples.

Registration

People wishing to attend any one of the user meetings should express their interest to Thekla Loizou (t.loizou@cyi.ac.cy) - clearly indicating the location they wish to attend the user meeting. Attendance to the workshops is given on a first come first serve basis.

Equipment

Participants are expected to bring their own laptops - so they will be able to participate on the hands on exercises during the user meeting, and any other things (such as stationery) they themselves may need during the user meeting.
