LinkSCEEM project has participated in the 9th SESAME user meeting that was held in Amman 12-14 Nov 2011. Three presentations were planned for the session devoted to LinkSCEEM. One presentation was replaced by open discussion on the LinkSCEEM project. The topics of both presentations and discussion focus on the opportunity of LinkSCEEM HPC to SESAME and Synchrotron Radiation users.

Call for Application of attendance for Cyprus Advanced HPC Workshop Winter 2012
There is a small number of remaining posts available to attend a 3-day workshop starting on February 6th 2012, at the Cyprus Institute, with hands-on guidance for participants in preparing their project for HPC usage. Beginning in January 2012, the resources of the LinkSCEEM-2 project will be enhanced by the Cy-Tera GPU-accelerated HPC system, capable of ~35 TFlops/s peak performance, making this a golden opportunity to prepare to use this resource.
The Advanced HPC Workshop in Cyprus will focus on areas directly relevant to the applicants interests and address topics such as:
Second Meeting of the LinkSCEEM-2 Steering Committee
The second meeting of the Steering Committee of the LinkSCEEM-2 Project took place at the Cyprus Institute on October 5th, 2011. The meeting was attended by Steering Committee members and project participants from ten of the eleven LinkSCEEM-2 partner institutions. First year project achievements and the way forward, as well as the upcoming first year EC review of the project were some of the topics discussed. Several Work Packages held face-to-face meetings during the days immediately preceding and following the meeting of the Steering Committee.

1st LinkSCEEM thematic workshop for Climate Research.
