The 4th Conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (HSCBB09), Athens, Greece, December 18-20, 2009.

Christos Nicolaou of the CaSToRC presented the LinkSCEEM project and the CaSToRC center at the HSCBB09 conference taking place in Athens, Greece. The conference is the annual event of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics and attracts researchers from Greece, Cyprus as well as other European countries. The meeting is an opportunity for researchers from the region active in this field to present their work and meet, discuss and exchange ideas in order to identify common interests and opportunities for cooperation. The LinkSCEEM and CaSToRC presentation created substantial interest and a lively discussion on the computational needs of the computational biology and bioinformatics community in the region and how the Cy-Tera machine and CaSToRc in general could be of use.
